Go Travel Solutions Appointed as Travel Plan Co-Ordinator for South East Coalville

Go Travel Solutions (GTS) has been appointed as the Travel Plan Coordinator (TPC) by Harworth Group for at South East Coalville. They aim to make this scheme an exemplar for residential travel planning, using a range of innovative and practical measures to promote and embed sustainable travel for those that live in the new community. An example of this is the LocalGo scheme (see www.localgo.co.uk). GTS will do this by ensuring the transport planning conditions for the development are met and the targets of the Framework Travel Plan are fulfilled.

One of their first tasks is to create a Passenger Transport Strategy for the scheme that will provide a plan of action for new bus services, while being mindful that other forms of passenger transport could enhance the sustainability of the scheme. It will also reflect what public transport needs to operate within the different developments that form the SUE based on their current and future highway specifications.
