Harworth Development Update - November 2021

November 2021 update on development at South East Coalville and Bardon Hill Logistics Park by Harworth Group plc.

Harworth is the master developer of both the South East Coalville and Bardon Hill developments and this regular blog post will include an update on our own activities and those of our development partners/stakeholders including the housebuildres, commercial occupiers/developers and the local/County Councils.

SOUTH EAST COALVILLE

Outline approval for the South East Coalville development was granted back in 2016. Within the overall scheme, Harworth Group own the majority of the land between Grange Road and Beveridge Lane.

Works to enable the first phase of development on Phase 1 of the site (land between Grange Road and the River Sence), known as Hugglescote Grange, began in summer 2020.

The first parcel for housing at Hugglescote Grange was sold to Redrow, where construction is currently ongoing and in October the first residents began to move in to their new homes. Bellway are also now on site delivering homes on the second parcel at Hugglescote Grange.

Harworth has also started work on Phase 2 of the site, known as Swinfen Vale. This area comprises the land north of Beveridge Lane and south of the River Sence.

Coming up over the next few months:

We are on with construction of the access roundabout (see photo above) at Beveridge Lane. Due to an embargo from Leicestershire County Council on works over the Christmas period, we will be removing the temporary traffic lights in December 2021 and then reinstating the traffic management in early January 2022.

BARDON HILL LOGISTICS PARK

We are making excellent progress on site at our Bardon Hill Logistics Park. The site access has been partially formed and in order to complete this, we will be required to close the A511 Bardon Road at certain points in late January 2022.

Our appointed building contractors, Winvic, will also be sending out a newsletter to local residents with more specifics on site progress and any road closures.
